No Attention to Doctrine

June 18, 2011

This morning I went to one of the largest Christian bookstores in Atlanta.  I was there to pick up a birthday card for my daughter.  Of course, it was also an excuse to see what was on the shelves in the more meaningful sections of the store.  To my dismay I was reminded that one man’s meaningfulness is another’s waste of time.  I went to peruse the theology shelves and discovered that there would not be much to peruse.  Believe it or not, below is a picture of the complete “theology” section.  Sorry Paul, your admonitions for Christians to give attention to doctrine apparently have fallen on deaf ears (1Tim. 4:13, 16).
